Leonid Afremov, el artista, nació en la ciudad de Vitebsk, Sorprendentemente Leonid nació en la misma ciudad como Marc Chagall, el famoso artista, que también fundó la Escuela de Arte de Vitebsk, junto con Malevich y Kandinsky. Leonid Afremov se graduó de la Escuela de Arte de Vitebsk en 1978 y es uno de los miembros de la élite.Un dato curioso: Todos los cuadros son pintados solo con espátula, no con pincel.
